When you first inquire about one of our kittens, don't be surprised to receive more questions in return from us to you! Don't be shocked- it isn't that we are nosey. We just want the best homes possible for our kittens!
What type of home does a Sphynx kitten deserve? First and foremost, they deserve a home where they will be a pet. Whether the kitten is being shown or just being a lapcat- he/she needs to be a pet first and foremost. Our contract states that Sphynxes need love and need attention- we expect any prospective owner to be thrilled to provide this for their new kitten.
Sphynx kittens need to be kept indoors. They are not made to handle the elements, whether it's the sun in the summertime or the cold in the wintertime. If you feel your Sphynx is pining away to get back to its natural roots, you can go outdoors as soon as he/she is fully vaccinated on a leash and harness- Sphynxes love walking on leash! Overall, though, Sphynxes need to be pampered cats of luxury. Our contact states that all of our Sphynxes need to be kept indoors.
Our Sphynx kittens are not born to be shuffled from home to home and will never be allowed to step foot into a shelter! If you look into your heart and are unsure whether or not a Sphynx is right for you, please close out my webpage and stop searching. At least until you are 200% sure this is the cat for you and your family. Our contract states that at any time, if you decide you no longer want your Sphynx- you must contact us and we will either take the cat back or we will help you rehome him/her to an appropriate home
Our Sphynx kittens can and do exist with every sort of animal! We have cats, obviously, and dogs and kids- the Sphynxes love interacting with everyone and everything!
There is much more to Sphynx ownership- this is just a tiny glimpse into the type of lifestyle we expect for our kittens. In the end, we want each and every kitten to end up in a loving home where they will spend 20 years giving and receiving love from their owners. In the end, isn't this what every new owner wants?
Please be honest in your exchange with us and we'll be honest in our exchange with you. If we don't feel like a Sphynx kitten would suit your lifestyle- we will either point you in the direction of a breed that would better suit you or we'll be honest and tell you that a cat would not be an appropriate addition to your family at this point in time. We'll be kind, but honest.
